Our retail store sells clothing, furniture, appliances, and various other items. We depend on the co mmunity to provide those very items. Folks from all around donate those items to us every single day. You and your neighbors keep our retail store alive.

We will pick your items up 

No matter where you live in town, if you have items that you want to donate to our store, we will pick them up. If you don’t have a truck to drop off large items like furniture, we do. All we need is a phone call from you telling us when to pick it up. 
 

It is Tax Deductible

Anything you give as a donation to a non-profit organization is tax deductible.  That doesn’t just mean money. It can mean items that you own that you give to us. We allow you to set the value of your items, then give you a receipt for that amount. You ten turn those receipts in when you file your taxes for that year. If you are a retailer, you can claim the actual value of the item you are donating, not what it costs you. Meaning you don’t lose profits to get rid of out of season items, such as jackets and sweaters.

It all stays in your community 

Many times when we make donations, those donations go to a
general fund for an organization. And that organization might be in
another city hundreds of miles away. But not at Abilities
Unlimited. At AU, all of the things you donate to us are sold.
The money made from those sales is put into our consumers and the work we do with them. 

Without you, we have no Retail Store

If you don’t donate what you can, our store loses it’s inventory. And with no inventory, our store would disappear. Meaning a loss of programs and opportunities for the disabled.
