VA-CASE MANAGEMENT AND PLACEMENT

The services provided to the VA for their clients consist of three levels of case management, employment readiness assessment, resume services, employment assistance services, vocational/educational and problem-solving services, therapy, job analysis, and reasonable accommodation and job site modification.  All of these services are provided through contractual arrangement with the VA and must meet their specifications.  They send the client to us already certified for services which does not require us to determine eligibility.

CASE MANAGEMENT

The case management involves face-to-face case management and supervision sessions at our office or at the site of the rehabilitation training.  The frequency of these contacts will be in accordance with the schedule  that is determined in the client’s Individual Written Rehabilitation Plan and the level of service they are to receive.  These services include any necessary phone calls and meetings to coordinate with other programs within and outside VA to help clients obtain needed services and benefits related to achievement of rehabilitation goals.  Also, we will check the appropriateness of requested books, tools and supplies to the goals of the rehabilitation plan, complete VA paperwork, check and validate invoices and prepare all documentation needed for VA authorization of these items.  There are three levels of case management which is determined by the level of assistance required by the client to obtain their vocational objective.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

Clients will be considered for employment assistance services when the initial assessment indicates that they are job ready, or when they are within 60 days of completing a training program.  The contractor will meet with the client individually and complete an “Employability Development Plan”.  This report will specifically address the issue of “job readiness”, and state whether we will or will not accept the case for placement.  Upon successful placement for at least 60 days the contractor will recommend closure as rehabilitated and do a closure statement.

RESUME SERVICES

We provide resume services as requested and authorized by the VA.  These services include the following:
a complete, accurate and professional resume; a maximum of two revisions; a maximum length of two pages; 25 copies; 25 personalized cover letters; 25 personalized envelopes; and a high quality stationery.
